Automated reminders go out via SMS, WhatsApp, and email to parents with outstanding boarding fee balances, the same way they do for other fees.

Meal Plan Management

Different meal plan options can be configured for different categories of boarders. Each boarder’s meal plan is recorded in their profile and updated when it changes.

Communication with Boarding Parents

Parents of boarders can receive specific communications about boarding matters separately from general school communications. Boarding-related announcements, welfare updates, and term arrangements can be sent to the boarding parent group specifically.

Boarding Financial Reports

Boarding income and boarding-related expenses are tracked in the accounting module. Income from boarding fees posts to the correct accounts. Boarding-specific expenses are coded to the boarding cost centres. This gives the school a clear financial picture of the boarding operation separately from the rest of the school.

Part of a Full School ERP

The boarding module works alongside every other part of Rongeka Africa. The same student who is a boarder has their academic record, attendance, fees, and library loans all in the same system. There is no data duplication between a boarding system and a school system.
